Fixing complex programmes that are not delivering.
We take control of delivery when programmes are off track and drive them through to completion.
We are brought in when delivery is failing, vendors are misaligned, and progress has stalled. We stabilise, restructure, and lead execution without stopping the programme.
Diagnose root causes across delivery, teams, and architecture
Align and restructure vendors and responsibilities
Establish clear governance and execution structure
Lead delivery day-to-day through to completion
Programmes Behind Schedule
When delivery is failing and escalations don't work.
A major programme is behind schedule. Vendors are underperforming or misaligned. Escalations don't work. Penalties are not effective. Is it the quality of the teams, the leadership or is it the scope? The path to recovery is not clear. Executive confidence is slipping and budgets are overrunning.
Our Approach to Recovery
This is where we connect the dots from the challenges above to how we systematically solve them.
Root Cause Analysis
We see these situations in both technology and business focused major programmes. They rarely "fix themselves". Escalations and threats don't work most of the time. Generally, the cause of delay is not a single issue. It's a combination of things that need to be resolved. Unless these are truly fixed, promises to "get back on track" are short-lived and don't deliver the whole programme on time and on budget.
Rapid Recovery Actions
We step in at the delivery level to regain control of the programme. We review all contracts, vendor scope, quality of teams, delivery structure, cadence, and output right down to the individual contributor level. We get to the source of the delay quickly and put in place a rapid set of recovery actions. We don't resort to escalations and threats. We find the source of the delays and fix them once and for all. We do this while the programme continues (in-flight). Every day counts and we never pause to fix.
Systematic Resolution
In our experience, a major programme delay can be a result of scope compared to timelines, business case/model, skill of the engineers or delivery team, wrong approach, lack of strong leadership, decision making capabilities, technology issues, architectural challenges or potentially the wrong vendors. No matter what these are, we identify them systematically and resolve them with you quickly.
What Success Looks Like
Rapid identification of the delay causes (root causes)
Immediate action plan to rectify each issue
Communication plan on how to build confidence in the recovery
Quick delivery of results (actual delivery getting back on track) to rebuild executive confidence
Secure commitment and potentially funding (or credits) from vendors to stay on the programme
Strong leadership to maintain stability (so the programme is delivered and fixes don't revert)
Programme delivered on time and on budget (accelerated to catch back-up where possible)
Let's design, build, and launch a platform that performs at scale
